Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The Debco Construction Undergraduate Scholarship Program was established in 2009 to build relationships with the local communities by assisting deserving young people in their pursuit of higher education.

Scholarship recipients within Joint School District #171 may pursue two-year or four-year courses of instruction leading to a bachelor’s degree, professional or technical degree, or any other course of instruction meeting the approval of Debco Construction. Subject to the discretion of the Company Award Committee, awards are renewable annually. Awards for graduate studies are not provided.

The scholarship deadline has been extended to May 1st for 2026

    The Scholarship Process

    Instructions for Applying for scholarship Online

    Please be sure all steps are followed or the application will not be considered. 

    • The applicant must fill out the online application completely.

    • The Applicant must attach transcripts to the online application or must mail to Debco Construction by the deadline. Your current official school transcript should show grade point average on a 4.0 scale, preferable circled in red.

    Please be sure all steps are followed or the application will not be considered. 

    • The applicant must print and fill out the application.

    • The applicant must get a copy of their current official school transcript showing your cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, preferable circled in red and mail in with application. Note: Even if you believe your counselor will include a transcript in their report, it is best for you to put one in the application package to ensure it gets to our office.  Applications are not considered if they do not include a transcript.

    • The applicant must mail the sealed documents along with the completed application to Debco by 5:00 P.M., April 1st. There are no exceptions.

    Timberline Scholarship Winners:

    Cody Bird, Graiclyn Cochrell and Natalie Smith will each receive 2 year scholarships. $1,000/semester for 4 semesters - $4,000.

    Orofino Scholarship Winners:

    Mylie Zenner will receive 2 years. $1,000/semester for 4 semesters - $4,000. Briley Standridge will receive 4 years. $1,000/semester for 8 semesters - $8,000
