Phase 2 of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area project was to reconstruct Redfish Lake Road, overhaul traffic patterns in the popular Redfish Lake recreation complex, and connect a spur off of the existing roundabout to Redfish Lake Road in the vicinity of Outlet Campground. After this part of the project was complete, access to Outlet Day Use Area, Outlet Campground, Mount Heyburn Campground, Sandy Beach Boat Launch, Sandy Beach Day Use Area, and Sockeye Campground all used the new road off the roundabout. The Outlet Day Use parking lot to connect North Shore Day Use was also constructed.
